About Ginny
A graduate of the University of Puget Sound in 2000, I have practiced Occupational Therapy for almost 26 years across many settings, including Mental Health, Acute Care, Sub-Acute Care, Outpatient, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Home Health, with a smattering of contract elementary schools and early intervention thrown in. In 2016, I, along with a partner, opened and grew a successful outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinic in Northeastern Wyoming. I sold my half of the practice in 2025 to focus more on mentorship and growth for upcoming new grads and students, mindful of the gap between academia and real-life practice. I have always loved supervising students and young practitioners, and helping to foster the skills and confidence needed to compete in our profession in this ever-changing healthcare landscape.
The Balloon Lady
Around Sheridan, Wyoming, where I make my home, I am known as “The Balloon Lady.” This balloon is called “Hot ‘n Bothered”, and she is an Aerostar 90,000 cubic foot balloon. I also have an Aurora 54 called “Hot Flash” and am in the process of building a radio-controlled hot air balloon which I plan to name “Hot to Trot.”
I got my private pilot’s certificate in 2008, and my commercial rating in 2015. Flying balloons has brought me so much joy and opportunity for connection in my life, and I have learned so many wonderful lessons doing it. I have the opportunity to travel, meet new people, and strengthen relationships with old friends through balloon events.
Besides aviation, I am an avid gardener, volunteer as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador for the city of Sheridan, teach yoga at the local YMCA, and play bass clarinet in the Sheridan College band, as well as the Community Summer band.
